Cabra-Vale Diggers Announces Rebrand as the Club Celebrates 100 Years
One hundred years after being founded as a place for returned servicemen to connect and find support, Cabra-Vale Diggers has undergone the biggest transformation in its history.
The Western Sydney institution has rebranded to the Cabravale Club Resort, making the announcement at a gala dinner on 16 July to mark its centenary.
While honouring its military roots, the Club has evolved to serve a diverse and vibrant community in Cabramatta and beyond, continuing to bring people together through live entertainment, dining, events and community support.
As part of the rebrand, the Club is embarking on a redevelopment which includes a Novotel hotel, with resort-style pool and premium guest amenities.
“Rebranding to Cabravale Club Resort is more than a name change, it’s a bold step forward,” explains Cabravale Club Resort Chief Commercial Officer Vicki Le.
“As Western Sydney grows into a major hub for tourism and culture, we’re redefining what a modern club can be. This new identity reflects our ambition to lead and welcome, while staying true to our community roots.
“We’re also proud to launch a new charity partnership as part of this next chapter, ensuring our growth gives back to the region that has shaped us.”
The Club has launched Cabravale Community, a new initiative which builds on the legacy of its Cabra Diggers Cares program, which has contributed over $1.75 million to local causes.
Under the new banner, the Club has announced a major partnership with The Sebastian Foundation, which tackles youth mental health through its Open Parachute program and builds resilience and peer support skills in schools.
The gala evening to announce the rebrand brought together dignitaries, community leaders, media and VIP guests for an evening of reflection, recognition and revelation, treating attendees to live entertainment, a stirring historical tribute, heartfelt speeches and the ceremonial reveal of a time capsule, filled with memorabilia and community stories, to be opened in 2050.
In a video message shared with attendees, NSW Premier Chris Minns congratulated the Club on celebrating 100 years.
“For a century now you’ve been a fixture of the local community from solemn dawn services to family nights out, to backing local charities and community groups,” he said.
“You’ve helped people come together while giving back to the local community that supports you — so congratulations on an incredible milestone. I’ve got no doubt there’ll be many more to come.”
Along with the new Novotel hotel, the Cabravale Club Resort also includes multiple signature dining outlets, a fully reimagined entertainment floor, a world-class event and conference centre for major functions and celebrations, and enhanced communal spaces designed for relaxation, connection and celebration.
“This anniversary wasn’t just about marking the passage of time, it was about celebrating the incredible journey we’ve shared as a community, and unveiling a future filled with bold ambition, world-class experiences and deep-rooted connection,” says Cabravale Club Resort CEO Boris Belevski.
Club President Water Robinson adds: “From the beginning, this Club was built on the values of service, courage and community.
“While our name is evolving, that spirit remains at the heart of Cabravale Club Resort. ‘Diggers’ carries deep meaning – it honours our founders and our legacy. We’re not leaving that behind; we’re carrying it forward into a new era of greater opportunity, inclusion and connection.”
Cabravale Club Resort is now open to members and guests, offering a slightly limited experience during the transitional phase as final touches are completed. The full vision will be revealed at the official Grand Opening later this year.
