Casino RSM Celebrating Christmas With Local Emergency Services
With the festive season upon us, Casino RSM is gearing up for a joyful celebration later today that promises a fun-filled day for emergency service members and their families.
The exciting event not only highlights the vital role of local firefighters, police officers and other service personnel, it also strengthens their bond with the community.
Families will be able to share conversations with those who protect them, while getting an up-close look at their impressive vehicles which have been deployed during challenging times such as the devastating floods in northern NSW in 2022.
What started as an initiative for the Rural Fire Service has broadened into a huge community gathering.
“Our event actually originated from one of our team members, who is a volunteer firefighter,” explains Casino RSM Marketing Manager Rebecca Asquith.
“She, along with her sister from our administration team, came up with this wonderful idea.
“They spoke with their captain, who was excited to get involved, and from there we reached out to other services, who all were eager to join in!”
The enthusiasm of the Casino RSM team has turned this initially small gathering into a large-scale event, thanks to the spacious facilities available.
“We have a fantastic venue with a big back car park that we can close off to accommodate all the emergency vehicles,” says Rebecca.
“Kids will have the opportunity to explore and learn about the ins and outs of the services in a fun, interactive way.”
Beyond the vehicles, the evening will be packed with other exciting activities for the kids, including jumping castles on the bowling green, face painting and fairy floss.
