Club to Host Special Series of Events to Thank Hospitality Workers
While the hospitality industry can provide a rewarding and fulfilling career, weekend and night shifts can impact the ability to properly socialise when you’re off the clock.
Public holidays such as Australia Day and the King’s Birthday provide an opportunity for people to let their hair down and catch up with friends, but for hospitality workers it’s all hands on deck.
So, it’s not often that this workforce is afforded the same kinds of opportunities to socialise in similar settings on a Monday or a Tuesday.
But that’s all about to change, with a dedicated monthly event aiming to provide a chance for hospitality workers to socialise with their industry peers.
St Johns Park Bowling Club has announced the launch of a vibrant new event series, Industry Night, designed exclusively for hospitality workers. The monthly event will kick off next month and run on the first Monday of each month during an initial three-month trial period.
“Industry Night is our way of showing appreciation for the incredible efforts of hospitality workers in our community,” says St Johns Park Bowling Club Group Marketing & Entertainment Manager Debbie Vermeulen.
“We’re looking forward to providing them with a well-deserved night out to connect with their peers.”
Industry Night will feature premium live entertainment, including DJ sets, dancers and speciality acts, with guests enjoying a tailored experience in the Club’s main bar area.
The theme for the first event is ‘cowboy’, with guests asked to wear an item of ‘cowboy’ clothing so they are recognised as a fellow hospitality worker.
The initiative aims to create an exclusive space for hospitality workers to connect, unwind and celebrate their contributions to the community, all while enjoying a night of entertainment and camaraderie.
The initial three-month trial period will see Industry Night staged on 3 February, 3 March and 7 April, from 7pm until midnight.
