Club Marconi Delivers Christmas Cheer
In the lead-up to Christmas, the Marconi Stallions and the Club Marconi Board and management team visited Fairfield Hospital to spend time meeting families and had the heartwarming experience of providing Christmas presents to children and families who could not be home with their loved ones during the festive period.
Club Marconi has been a local Fairfield social, sporting and community icon for the past 65 years. The Club is dedicated to making a positive impact in its community and in 2023 donated over $1.2 million to community welfare and social services programs, community development and health services, employment assistance activities and sporting groups via the ClubGRANTS scheme.
Club Marconi CEO Matthew Biviano said that this sort of contribution wouldn’t be possible without the support of the local community and the Club’s staff.
“We are a community club and by taking a few hours out of our day and through the generous support of our wonderful members, staff and board who donated the gifts, we were able to make a difference,” Matthew said.
“We were incredibly grateful to be in a position to spread joy and have the ability to change someone’s life and create lasting memories. This is what is important to us at Club Marconi.”
ClubGRANTS is one of Australia’s largest grant programs, providing more than $120 million last year to a variety of worthy causes across NSW.
Charities, sporting organisations and not-for-profit community groups are among tens-of-thousands of worthy causes funded through the program each year.
If your community group needs some extra support, grant rounds will open on 1 February 2024 across the state. Head to clubgrants.com.au to find out more.
