ClubsNSW and DrinkWise Partnership Supports Responsible Drinking in Clubs
Earlier this year, it was announced that ClubsNSW had partnered with DrinkWise, a respected independent not-for-profit organisation, to support the promotion of a healthier and safer drinking culture across licensed clubs in NSW.
This initiative is designed to encourage responsible alcohol consumption and respectful behaviour in club environments, aligning with the values of community, safety and wellbeing.
Now, DrinkWise has developed a suite of communication materials tailored for club settings, including posters, coasters, decals and stickers.
These resources are designed to be strategically placed near alcohol service areas and throughout venues to subtly prompt patrons to reflect on their drinking habits.
The messaging is purposefully non-intrusive, designed to engage without lecturing, and reinforces the idea that clubs are places for socialising in a respectful and responsible way.
A key feature of the campaign is a discreet support sticker embedded with a QR code and NFC chip. When scanned or tapped, the sticker directs patrons to a comprehensive list of alcohol support services via the DrinkWise website.
This innovative approach ensures that help is accessible in a private and respectful manner, empowering individuals to seek support if needed.
The campaign has been well received by industry stakeholders and aligns with broader efforts to reduce alcohol-related harm.
DrinkWise and ClubsNSW has distributed the materials to member clubs and provided digital assets for use on venue screens, helping to extend the reach of the campaign across the state.
This partnership reflects a shared commitment to creating safer, more inclusive environments for all patrons. By encouraging moderation and offering access to support, clubs, ClubsNSW and DrinkWise are helping to foster a culture of care and responsibility within the club sector.
