Exciting New Category as Registrations Open for 2025 Perfect Plate Awards

The Awards are designed to showcase the best in club cuisine while also driving patrons into venues, and has been bolstered this year with the addition of a brand-new category, Perfect Pizza.

Marana Australia is the proud partner of the Perfect Pizza category and is offering the winning club in the new category a $5000 voucher to spend at Marana.

As well as the state-wide Perfect Pizza category, the state-wide Best Dessert category that was introduced in 2024 will return this year, alongside the traditional Perfect Plate regional and state-wide categories (small, medium and large club). Clubs can enter up to three unique competition dishes per eatery at their club — one in each category. 

Celebrity chefs Matt Moran and Courtney Roulston have returned as the competition’s ambassadors for a third year and are set to visit as many participating clubs as possible throughout the competition period. Member clubs are encouraged to register early to increase their chance of receiving a visit from one of the Perfect Plate ambassadors. 

Your club’s competition dish does not have to be finalised at the time of registering, as your registration will confirm your club’s participation in the competition.

• New to the competition? Register your club eatery or eateries here: perfectplate.com.au/register.

Next Steps

Once a club has registered, they can log back into their Perfect Plate account to enter the following details for their dish/es:  

• Name and short description of each competition dish
• Chef’s name 
• Sale price 
• Photo of competition dish (not compulsory). 

Once your entry is submitted, more information and marketing collateral will be available to download for use in-venue to promote the competition dish/es to members and patrons.  

Key Dates

• Friday, 18 April – Club registrations close
• Wednesday, 23 April – Voting QR codes available for download via the Perfect Plate website
• Friday, 2 May – Public voting commences
• Tuesday, 10 June – Award Night tickets on sale
• Sunday, 15 June – Public voting concludes
• Tuesday, 15 July – Perfect Plate Awards Night.

Prizes for Participating Clubs

• Marana Australia, proud partner of the Perfect Pizza category, is offering the winning club in the new category a $5000 voucher to spend at Marana.
   
• Anchor Food Professionals, proud partner of the Best Dessert category, is offering the winning club chef in the category return flights and one night of accommodation in Melbourne, where they will dine at one of the city’s most renowned restaurants and enjoy a mentoring experience with Executive Chef Mark Normoyle. They will have the chance to recreate their winning dish and take part in a professional video shoot, with assets available for the winning club to use. This prize is valued at $10,000. Anchor Food Professionals is also offering a prize for the runner-up in the category, valued at $5000 — details will be made available on perfectplate.com.au in due course.
   
• The state-wide winners in the small, medium and large club Perfect Plate categories will each win an honorary plaque and a media campaign worth $10,000.
