Momentum is building for the Your Local Club Official NRL Vegas Watch Party, with thousands of patrons expected to flock to clubs to celebrate the start of the rugby league season.
Your local club is hosting the Official NRL Vegas Watch Party this year, thanks to a unique partnership between ClubsNSW and the Australian Rugby League Commission.
In addition to hosting the Official NRL Vegas Watch party, Your local club will have 22 special event hubs set up around the state, hosted by NRL legends and featuring the likes of Vegas-themed food and beverage specials, and competitions including the chance to win one of two double passes to NRL Vegas 2026.
Excitement continues to build among footy fans and the wider public, including in the media, ahead of the special day on Sunday, March 2.
NRL broadcaster Andrew Voss has thrown his support behind the Your local club Official NRL Vegas Watch Party, encouraging listeners on his SEN Radio Breakfast Show to head along to local clubs on the day.
“You’re going to have a great day out,” Voss said.
“Imagine if it’s a stinker — like it’s hot here in Sydney — you can just go in air-conditioned comfort, big screens at your club, I think it’s a great promotion.
“It may not come as a surprise to a lot of people that the thing that caught my eye most was the food and beverage list, there’s a Vegas theme to that…including hot dog eating competitions… I reckon with mates it is the best day out you’re going to have this year.”
Among the NRL Ambassadors at the Special Event Hubs will be the likes of Dale Finucane (Sharks @ Kareela), Josh Addo-Carr (Mounties), Josh Hodgson (Wyong Rugby League Club) and Anthony Watmough (Dee Why RSL Club).
Former Storm, Bulldogs and Sharks NRL player Aiden Tolman says he’s looking forward to acting as a Special Event Hub Ambassador at C.Ex Coffs.
“If you can’t get to Vegas then the next best spot is down at your local club,” Tolman says.
“Come down there and watch it with some NRL Ambassadors around the state… it’s going to be a really good occasion for everyone to get back on the footy — the excitement is building.”
Radio 2GB Morning Show and Continuous Call Team host Mark Levy has also thrown his support behind the initiative, encouraging listeners to get to their local club.
“Your local club is hosting the Official NRL Vegas Watch Party this year and you won’t want to miss out,” Levy told 2GB listeners.
“Whether you’re planning to catch the action with your family or your mates, head to yourlocalclub.com.au to find an Official NRL Vegas Watch Party near you.”
The momentum follows a successful launch of the campaign at Wests Campbelltown in late January, which was featured across metropolitan and regional media, including in The Daily Telegraph and on 7 News, 9 News, i98 Radio, 2GB, SEN and 2HD.
