Kempsey Macleay RSL Undertakes $10 Million Renovation
Kempsey Macleay RSL Club has announced a $10 million renovation set to transform the experience for members and the wider community.
The upgrade includes a brand-new interactive sports bar, creating a dynamic and engaging atmosphere for patrons, with stunning views of the Macleay River.
“We’re also introducing two new food outlets, offering a range of dining options to suit every taste,” explains Kempsey Macleay RSL Club CEO Daniel Abela.
“Members will be able to connect, relax and enjoy our expansive new spaces, including an outdoor deck and lounge areas where the river is visible from every corner of the lounge and sports bar.”
The enhancements reflect the Club’s ongoing commitment to providing a modern, welcoming environment that fosters community and connection.
Despite the construction works, the Club is continuing to trade daily, including its Freshwater Bar & Grill, Café Fresh and Tabatinga — particularly popular during the school holidays.
Kempsey Macleay RSL Club opened in 1948, under the values of connecting veterans and providing a space to re-connect.
What began as a place to support veterans by connecting them to their local community through camaraderie and mateship, has grown into a pillar of the community, for all ages to enjoy.
It now boasts over 9000 members and caters to the wider community, with a diverse food & beverage offering and function facilities.
Bowling greens are also available at the nearby The Bowlo — offering lawn bowls, climbing frame and a casual spot for drinks and food.
