New Category Announced for the Perfect Plate Awards

The sweet addition means clubs can now enter two unique competition dishes per eatery — one in the new dessert category and one in the traditional category. Each eatery will be treated as a separate entry.

The award categories are now as follows:

• 13 x Regional Award Winners: The club whose dish has the highest average score at the end of the competition will be crowned the winner in their respective region.
• Three x State Award Winners: Clubs will be categorised as small (0-5000), medium (5001-30,000) or large (30,001+) based on their membership numbers for the statewide award category. The club whose dish has the highest average score at the end of the competition in their respective state-wide award category will be crowned the winner.
• One x State Award for Best Dessert: The club whose dessert has the highest average score across NSW at the end of the competition will be crowned the winner.

How to Enter the Best Dessert Category

Visit perfectplate.com.au and click ‘Register Now’, then follow the same process for entering a traditional dish — just tick the box to confirm you are submitting a dessert dish and fill out the form with the:

• Name and a short description of each competition dish
• Chef’s name 
• Sale price 
• Photo of competition dish (not compulsory).

Once your entry is submitted, more information and marketing collateral will be available to download for use in-venue to promote your competition dish/es to members and patrons. If your eatery is participating in both categories, you can expect separate QR codes for patrons to scan.
