VALE Bruce Gotterson, Pigott Stinson Partner
The club industry is mourning the loss of Pigott Stinson Partner Bruce Gotterson, who has passed away suddenly.
Bruce’s association with the club industry dates back more than 30 years. He started working at the firm J Stuart Thom in 1987, which merged with Pigott Stinson in 1990. Soon after that, Bruce became an integral part of the firm’s club industry team ever since.
Bruce was loved by the people he worked with, both staff and clients. He developed a strong and loyal client base across the state in the industry.
A message posted to LinkedIn by Bruce’s colleagues reads:
“He was such an affable, gregarious, kind hearted man. Bruce's presence would light up our office, a club meeting or social occasion. He was always up for a laugh or joke with his great sense of humour … But with that was also a tenderness, a concern for others. His love for his family, from his parents all the way through, was clearly evident.”
Bruce was a friend to many within our industry and will be sorely missed by all who knew him.
ClubsNSW offers their most sincere condolences to Bruce’s wife Fiona, his children Georgina, Caroline and D’Arcy, and everyone who had the pleasure of meeting him.
The funeral for Bruce Gotterson will be held at St Jude’s Anglican Church, Bendooley Street, Bowral, on Monday, 11 December 2023 at 1pm. A private cremation will follow.
