The club industry is mourning the loss of Charles William Munnery OAM, who passed away peacefully at home on Monday, 18 September at the age of 99.

Charles was the President of Merrylands RSL Club from 1960 to 1973 and was Life Member No. 2. He was a Merrylands RSL Sub-Branch member from 1948 and served as Honorary Secretary from 1960 to 1961.

Charles also served as Corporal in the 2/6 Australian Infantry Battalion (Regimental Number QX41634).

A service celebrating the life of Charles will be held at 11am on Friday, 29 September at Lance Boots Funeral Chapel — 3 Johnson Close, Raymond Terrace, NSW.
