Wagga RSL Club Appoints New General Manager
The Wagga RSL Club has announced the appointment of Wayne Mutton as its new General Manager. With a deep passion for the Wagga community and a strong leadership background, Wayne is well-positioned to lead the Club into an exciting new era.
Wayne has been an integral part of the Wagga RSL Club team since October 2016, initially joining as a Duty Manager before being appointed as Human Resources Manager in 2019. In these roles, he has played a key part in supporting staff, fostering a positive workplace culture and ensuring the Club continues to deliver outstanding service to its members and guests.
Prior to his time at the Club, Wayne built an extensive career in hospitality, managing Romano’s Hotel from 2000 to 2015, where he became the licensee in 2007. His wealth of experience in operations, leadership and customer service, combined with his commitment to community engagement, makes him the ideal choice to lead the Club into the future.
Wagga RSL Club President, Jane Barnes, expressed her enthusiasm for Wayne’s appointment, highlighting his dedication to both the Club and the wider Wagga community.

Wayne’s connection to Wagga extends far beyond his professional life. Husband to Lisa and proud father to Will and Charlotte, he is deeply rooted in the local community. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his family, chasing after his children’s activities, watching AFL games and attending race meetings.
Speaking about his appointment, Wayne expressed his excitement for the future of the Club and his gratitude for the opportunity.
