Your Local Club: Proud Sponsor of News Corp’s 2024 Bush Summit
The News Corp Australia National Bush Summit is on again, and Your Local Club is proud to be a major partner of the NSW event.
Now in its sixth year, the week-long campaign held in every state brings together some of the nation’s most influential decision makers and community leaders — from the NSW Premier to cattle farmers — to discuss the biggest issues facing regional Australians.
As a major partner of the event, Your Local Club will shine a spotlight on the incredible and vital role that clubs play in supporting regional communities across the state — so keep an eye on The Daily Telegraph’s Bush Summit page for club stories in the coming days.
Among the topics on the table to be discussed at the 2024 Bush Summit will be crime, business, energy and life in the bush.
The 2024 News Corp NSW Bush Summit event will take place this Thursday, 29 August at Orange Ex-Services’ Club.
In a video set to be played at the event, ClubsNSW CEO Rebecca Riant says the Association is excited to be a major sponsor.
“There are over 1100 clubs in NSW and more than 64 per cent of those are in regional and remote areas,” she says.
“Clubs are where all the significant events take place — from birthdays to weddings — and in times of need it’s clubs in these areas who step up as evacuation centres during bushfires and floods, or to raise vital funds for local farmers during droughts.”
She goes on to outline some of the key issues facing clubs in regional areas of the state.
“I’m so proud of this industry and the difference clubs make in the bush,” she says.
In 2023, the National Bush Summit was recognised globally for outstanding advocacy. It was named winner of the International News Media Association award for Best Public Relations or Community Service Campaign and the standout entry for the Asia Pacific region.
