Albion Park RSL Embraces Family Focus After Completing Major Renovations
Key Points
Albion Park RSL Memorial Club has completed an extensive renovation journey, repositioning the venue as a family-friendly hub that reflects the changing demographics of the region.
Food and beverage upgrades formed a major component, with the addition of a pizza oven housed in a converted container, complete with beer taps, further enhancing the casual dining experience.
The renovations were designed with the future in mind, as significant residential development continues in surrounding suburbs.
“There’s all these suburbs going up,” General Manager Shaun Tobin says of the surrounding area.
“We’re reaping the benefit from that.”
He says families have quickly embraced the refreshed venue.
“They come here, have a food and a drink and partake in the raffles that we run,” says Shaun, adding that this year is all about the community enjoying the new facilities.
“We’ve continued on stages one, two and three, so we’re sort of finished now and we’ll take a bit of a deep breath in 2026.”
A key element of the renovation was a complete rethink of how the Club uses its internal space. Traditional function rooms were removed and replaced with a large, open dining area designed to better suit families and everyday members.
The new layout centres around a large open bar, with clearly defined over-18s and under-18s areas, creating a space that works for all ages. The under-18s area opens directly into a family-friendly outdoor space.
Outside, the Club has significantly expanded its alfresco offering, including around 150 covered seats, an additional 50 outdoor seats and three new cabanas. Seating capacity across the venue has increased by approximately 30 per cent.
Albion Park RSL is quickly becoming the go to destination for locals across the Macquarie Valley region.
