NSW Women’s Week, running from Monday 2 March to Sunday 8 March, is an annual celebration recognising the remarkable contributions and achievements of women across New South Wales.
Aligned with International Women’s Day on Sunday 8 March, the week provides an opportunity to connect, celebrate and pay tribute to women through a wide range of events taking place across the state.
Throughout the week, communities, organisations and workplaces will come together to highlight women’s stories, recognise leadership and promote participation in activities that celebrate equality, inclusion and achievement.
Celebrating achievement across NSW
A key highlight of NSW Women’s Week 2026 will be the announcement of the NSW Women of the Year Awards 2026, which recognise outstanding women and gender equality champions who have made a significant contribution to their communities and industries.
The awards form part of a broader program of events designed to acknowledge the diverse ways women contribute to social, economic and community life across NSW.
Resources to help spread the word
To support organisations in promoting NSW Women’s Week, a dedicated toolkit has been developed featuring shareable resources, including:
- Newsletter and website copy
- Social media content
- A printable poster
These materials are designed to make it easy to raise awareness and encourage participation across local communities and networks.
