ClubsNSW Announces New Corporate Partnership with the NRMA

ClubsNSW has announced it has signed a new corporate partnership agreement with the National Roads and Motorists’ Association Limited (trading as the NRMA). The NRMA will come on board as a Diamond Partner.  

Overview 

The NRMA is Australia's largest member-owned organisation, with everything they do designed to benefit their 3.3 million members and their communities. 

Beyond their legendary roadside assistance, the NRMA Group also owns and operates NRMA Parks and Resorts, SIXT car rental, and several tourism and marine businesses.  

As a purpose-driven mutual, the Association is proudly leading Australia’s transition to electric vehicles. 

My NRMA Rewards is the Association’s membership program, which offers members exclusive access to benefits, discounts and cashback across the NRMA’s businesses and with some of Australia’s most well-known brands. 

Public polling conducted by ClubsNSW in November 2024 reported that 62 per cent of respondents who are a member of a club are also a member of My NRMA. 

Perfect Plate Awards Partnership 

Within the partnership agreement, the NRMA has agreed to be the presenting partner of the 2025 Your Local Club Perfect Plate Awards, with the Association’s logo to appear on Perfect Plate advertising collateral — including the Perfect Plate ‘Coming Soon’ assets which clubs can now download via the links below:

Cash Back Offer for Perfect Plate Participants 

My NRMA Rewards members will be given the opportunity to receive cash back when they purchase a dish from a participating Perfect Plate club. My NRMA Rewards members will receive 10 per cent cash back into their My NRMA app upon purchasing their first Perfect Plate dish, and two per cent cash back into their My NRMA app for every Perfect Plate purchase after that. 

The NRMA will promote the cash back offer to their membership database, with a substantial marketing and promotional campaign targeted to NRMA members via email, My NRMA app push notifications, Open Road print magazine ads, digital content and other advertisements. 

This cash back offer will be an ‘opt in’ opportunity, with clubs taking part in the Perfect Plate competition given the choice to participate in the promotion. Once a member club has registered for Perfect Plate, they will be contacted by ClubsNSW and provided with the relevant information to join the cash back offer. Costs relating to the offer will be covered by ClubsNSW.  

How the Cash Back Offer Works 

The NRMA launched the My NRMA Rewards Cashback program in May 2024, and since then NRMA members have been able to link their credit or debit cards in the My NRMA app, make purchases at participating partner businesses and earn cash back instantly.  

When making a payment, the linked card seamlessly connects to the app during the tap-to-pay process — no additional steps are needed from either the customer or the partner business. The only thing member clubs will need to do is register the merchant ID of their payment terminals at the point of sale (ClubsNSW will assist with this). 

EV Charging Station 

The NRMA’s Electric Vehicle (EV) Charging Network offers the largest regional network of fast chargers in Australia. The NRMA is investing in the growth of this network to ensure its members and their communities are ready for the future of transport — and clubs are uniquely positioned to help.
