Paladin Powers Purple Friday
Purple Friday has become a powerful symbol of the club industry’s commitment to ending domestic and family violence. Behind the scenes, partners like Paladin have helped turn that commitment into tangible impact.
Key Points
- Paladin supplied Purple Friday shirts to clubs across NSW and ACT
- 4,797 items sold through the campaign
- More than $14,500 in proceeds donated to ClubsNSW DV community partners
- Strong example of industry partnership driving real social impact
The success of Purple Friday on 8 May was built on collective action from clubs, communities and partners who stepped up to support those affected by domestic and family violence.
This year, Paladin played a key role by supplying Purple Friday merchandise to clubs across the state, helping bring the campaign to life in venues, workplaces and communities.
As one of Australia’s leading custom teamwear and apparel suppliers, Paladin works with thousands of sporting organisations and community clubs, from grassroots through to elite national programs, making them a natural fit for a campaign of this scale.
Through the sale of branded merchandise, clubs were able to visibly show their support while contributing directly to frontline services. The results speak for themselves:
- 3597 shirts sold
- 200 hats sold (with additional stock still available)
- 1000 badges sold.
In total, 4797 items were sold, generating $14,689.50 in proceeds, all of which will be donated to the following ClubsNSW DFV community partners:
- Escabags – providing emergency escape bags for people leaving violent situations
- DV Safe Phone – delivering safe, discreet communication tools to victim-survivors
- StandbyU Foundation – supporting long-term recovery through technology-enabled interventions.
According to Michael Robertson, Director of Commercial Partnerships at Paladin, the Purple Friday collaboration was driven by a clear purpose.
“We were proud to partner with ClubsNSW on Purple Friday 2026 because domestic and family violence awareness is a cause worth standing behind,” Robertson said.
“Hundreds of clubs took part, and a few have already started reordering to wear purple every Friday rather than treating it as a one-day initiative.”
Paladin’s contribution ensured the impact of Purple Friday extended far beyond awareness, directly supporting services that help people stay safe and rebuild their lives.
For clubs looking to build their own identity through sport and apparel, Paladin offers fully customised teamwear, training and performance gear, supporter merchandise and retail apparel.
“The simplest way is to reach out directly so we can understand your club’s needs and get the right team involved,” Robertson added.
As Purple Friday continues to grow, collaborations like this demonstrate what’s possible when the entire club ecosystem — from venues to suppliers — comes together with a shared purpose.
