As one of the oldest and largest businesses in our area, the Club saw the opportunity to commit to maintaining the quality of life for future generations by introducing a sustainability policy.
Since 2008, the Club has been exploring ways to improve our environment, economic and social responsibility, and our sustainability. We’ve also been exploring technological advancements to see what other changes can be made.
It’s important that businesses like clubs, who are running large-scale hospitality venues, lead the way in creating a sustainable business model across all their operations. One small example of this is our phasing out of single-use plastic straws four years prior to it being mandated.
In the future, the Club will continue investing in solar systems, doubling our current system from 100KW to 200KW.
It’s also important for us to be able to demonstrate to our employees that we care about the environment and how our operations impact the community. We strive to be a business that employees are proud to work for and that members are proud to be a part of.
