March Column: ClubsNSW CEO Rebecca Riant
I’m mindful that it’s a busy period for the industry — especially with the AHGE on this week — and at ClubsNSW HQ we have been flat out promoting the NRL Vegas campaign, which was a huge success. Thanks again to all those who got involved by putting on an Official NRL Vegas Watch Party or hosting a Special Event Hub.
Now, our minds have turned to the 2025 Clubs & Community Awards — and as you may know, entries close at 5pm today (Friday, 14 March)!
I strongly encourage all clubs to enter at least one submission this year.
The Clubs & Community Awards are a significant opportunity to demonstrate the important contributions that clubs make in their communities to our key political stakeholders, as well as to the broader public through the media coverage of this event. Last year, more than 25 politicians accepted our invitation to attend the Clubs & Community Awards Night (a record for us), as well as key journalists from The Daily Telegraph and 2GB. The Awards strongly align with the core purpose of ClubsNSW, which is to advocate for and advance the interests of all member clubs.
Whether your club has hosted a fundraiser for a worthy cause; implemented an initiative that supports the education, health or wellbeing of those in the community; or helped to cultivate a local live music and entertainment scene, the work that you have done is worthy of a Clubs & Community Awards entry.
Take a look at the nine award categories here and be sure that you or your team enter a submission here before the end of today. You need only answer one question: Tell us about your nominated club or individual and how their contribution has impacted the community.
As always, your support is greatly appreciated and I wish you luck with your nominations.
If you have any questions about submitting an entry, please contact ClubASSIST on 1300 730 001 and ask to speak with a member of our friendly Events Team.
