Thank you to all those who attended last week’s Perfect Plate Awards Night and congratulations to all the winners and those who finished on the podium. It was an incredible night, with host Darren Carr keeping us all laughing, outstanding musical performances from Fletcher Pilon and Jade Steg, and a delicious menu perfectly curated by the Norths Collective team.
You can find all the Perfect Plate winners and runners up here, and a full wrap-up of the Awards Night here.

In mid-June, ClubsNSW announced that it had made a $25,000 donation to the NSW Government and Rotary Australia’s co-managed fund for those impacted by the Hunter Valley bus tragedy, and we encouraged clubs who are in a position to make a financial contribution to do so.
I recently received an update regarding the fundraiser and was pleased to learn that the club industry has donated more than $113,000 to this worthy cause. Thank you to all those who supported this initiative.

It’s hard to believe, but the 2023 ClubsNSW Conference & AGM is just around the corner. Taking place from Wednesday, 4 to Friday, 6 October at the Gold Coast Convention & Exhibition Centre, the event will feature riveting keynotes, vibrant TEDx-style talks and the always-informative Political Landscape Forum. There will also be panel sessions on cashless gaming, the role of a regulator and the role of a chair, which will explore the challenges our industry faces and what the industry will look like in the next decade.
You can read more about the Conference program here. Be sure to register before Tuesday, 15 August to take advantage of the early-bird rates.

Last, but certainly not least, a very warm official welcome to our new CEO Rebecca Riant who has hit the ground running in her first few weeks (read about what she has been up to so far here) and a sincere thank you to our Deputy Chairperson Sallianne Faulkner for leading the industry as the Acting CEO of ClubsNSW since February. Sallianne reflected on her time in the role here, which is well worth a read too.
